Quickly Settled in

Holidays are over and everyone seems to have settled in quite quickly. 

Money.... What it looks like, how many cents are in a dollar, etc. The observation skills of these students is impressive. 

Zero as a Place Value Holder

Although zero by itself represents nothing, it is an important place value holder in numbers like 7052, 7502 or 7520. Students are also learning how to read these numbers and how to appropriately use the word AND. For example, seven thousand AND fifty two. 

ANZAC:

We had many discussions about ANZAC Day and are looking forward to the dawn services and parades on Saturday and our formal assembly on Monday. The pictures above show us collaborating to make bits and pieces to use in our ANZAC art piece next week.
